The Hobart 712038 Infrared Burner uses gas combustion to heat a ceramic surface producing radiant energy that transfers heat toward the cooking area. Fuel enters the burner and burns through the internal ports warming the steel and ceramic structure to generate infrared output. The assembly measures 6-5/8" x 5-1/8" and fits inside the designated burner compartment beneath the cooking surface or heating zone. It is used in compatible commercial cooking equipment for broiling, grilling, finishing and other applications requiring direct radiant heat from a gas-fired source.
