The Franklin Chef 149180 Natural Gas Pilot Orifice 0.010 FMEA controls the exact amount of fuel to be introduced into the pilot burner assembly to sustain a steady, standing flame. The hole is placed in the light space and normally threaded directly into the gas supply line in front of the ignition head. This is a brass fitting that is a critical metering part of the ignition system of the cooking range. Installation should be done properly so that the flame is of the correct size to be sensed by the thermocouple.
