The Jackson 184301 Vacuum Breaker prevents reverse water flow by admitting air whenever reflow conditions develop within the plumbing line. Its polished chrome exterior forms the visible outer body, while the 3/4" NPT threaded connection joins directly to the adjoining piping. Internal sealing elements respond automatically as pressure conditions change, allowing air entry only when required by the operating cycle. Controlled pressure changes keep the internal mechanism cycling between open and closed positions as water movement varies.
