The Hatco 2-11-012 Flange Gasket 2.75" X 2.75" is a flat sealing gasket, which is designed to be used between flanged connections in water heaters or other equipment. It works by interlocking between the faces of the mating flanges and pressing under the bolt torque to assist in filling the irregularities of the surface and restricting the flow of fluids at the joint. This is fitted to the openings of the flanged connections of the equipment, and aligned with bolt holes on the mating surfaces and then tightened to create the interface that is sealed.
