The Avantco 400043 Thermopile 2-Lead 24" is a component that is used to produce electrical current using the heat in a commercial gas appliance system. It is connected to ignition and safety circuit and it turns the heat of pilot flame into a voltage to keep the gas valve open during operation. In foodservice applications, this thermopile is used during service or replacement to put the burner back in operating order. It is connected to pilot assembly and control wiring to control the flow of gas. Correct installation facilitates consistent ignition operation.
