The Crown Steam 4222-1 Disc Stem Assembly C/W Relief Valve is used by controlling the pressure in the steam system and releasing the steam through its built-in relief valve. It works on the concept of opening and closing according to the change in internal pressure so that the steam flow is smooth and there are no overpressure conditions. This is an essential part of the steam kettles and other such equipment and is usually placed in the steam control system to ensure the equipment is operating correctly and safely.
