The Southbend PP644 Stem Valve changes fluid flow by moving an internal spout as the control knob is rotated. This movement adjusts the passage inside the valve, allowing flow to be started, stopped, or regulated through the connected line. The assembly is installed in the plumbing or control section of compatible commercial cooking equipment, with the knob positioned for easy manual access. The 10-24 threaded stem provides the specified connection, while the round phenolic knob transfers the turning motion to the valve mechanism. This has a 1-1/2" stainless steel frame surrounds the internal parts and forms the main valve housing during equipment operation.
