Step1: Disconnect refrigerator power and remove access panel to avoid electrical shock.
Step2: Label and disconnect wires from old thermostat noting terminal positions.
Step3: Remove mounting screws and pull out defective thermostat carefully.
Step4: Install new thermostat, secure and reconnect wires to matching terminals.
Step5: Set capillary tube in original position without kinks.
Step6: Reassemble panel, restore power, test temperature range and cycling.
Step7: Adjust thermostat setting if necessary for proper cooling performance.
