The Dean 8100617 Fryer Pilot Generator PG9 is a small electrical source of power that is generated when the pilot flame heats the generator and provides power to the fryer safety and ignition system. It operates by transforming thermal energy into electrical production, which provides adequate flame detection and burner operation. This pilot generator is normally placed close to the pilot burner assembly in commercial fryer units and it is attached in such a way that it is in direct contact with the pilot flame to ensure that it is functioning properly.
