The True 831932 Refrigerator Temperature Control Kit regulates the cooling process by measuring the temperature of air in internal cabinet and turning on and off the compressor to keep thermal conditions at certain level. This mechanical thermostat makes use of a capillary tube filled with chilled air which expands or contracts depending on the ambient conditions, which causes a switch to be triggered to start or stop cooling. This is fitted into the evaporator housing or on the side wall of the compartment where it is directly connected to the electrical harness.
