The Hobart 998223 Pressure Reducing Valve 3/4" FPT regulates the incoming water by balancing the flow of water through an internal spring-loaded inlet pressure with a preset setting. With a supply pressure, the valve adjusts the valve seat to reduce downstream pressure and stabilize the outlet level. The valve is fitted in line with the water supply line usually below and above any equipment that needs to be controlled by the pressure. The ports are built to support commercial service connections and are designed to use standard piping and the adjustable mechanism is to be calibrated during installation.
