The Detex DT012 Lock Key Cover ECL405 operates by covering the lock cylinder and sliding the cover to reveal the keyway when used and sliding it back to cover the keyway when not in use. It is designed in such a way that the movement is directed by the hinges or pivot points that enable the cover to swing or slide over the key slot when being used. It is mounted over the lock on compatible door hardware that is mounted with a corresponding mounting configuration. This essential cover is used to keep the keyway secure by preventing dust.
