The Duke 216412 Expansion Valve 1/4 inch x 3/8 inch EFJ-1/8-C is a refrigeration control element that is used to control the flow of refrigerant into the evaporator. It regulates the quantity of the refrigerant that gets into the coil depending on the pressure and temperature within the system. This valve is fitted in the refrigerant line between the condenser and evaporator in compatible equipment.
