The Sloan EBV-89A-M Side Mounted Operator is an electronic flushometer operator that is mounted on the side to start the flushing cycle. It is used by taking input from the attached sensor or control assembly that will alert the operator to open and close the valve to control water discharge during flushing. This component is attached to the side of the compatible flushometer valve bodies of commercial restroom fixtures, like urinals and toilets. The operator enclosure is an integral part of the plumbing system that houses mechanical and electronic components, to move the valves and respond to flushing.
