The In-Sink-Erator 11457 Gasket Outlet would operate by creating a closed system between the disposer outlet and the attached drain or discharge pipe to control the flow of water during operation. Its flexible design is able to squeeze when attached to it and keep at the correct alignment. This is fixed at the outlet of the compatible food waste disposers at the point where the disposer housing connects to the plumbing. This component is designed to fit the outlet and fit in the opening. It becomes a point of interface in the discharge assembly of the disposal.
