The Garland GL2423501 Griddle Thermocouple With Thermal Compound detects heat through a junction that produces a small electrical signal corresponding to the sensed temperature. The J-Type configuration establishes the specified sensing method, while the included thermal compound improves heat transfer between the sensing tip and its mounting surface. Installed near the heated section, the probe is based on temperature changes toward the connected control circuit. As heat levels rise or fall, the generated signal changes accordingly, allowing the control system to recognize variations and respond according to the programmed temperature range.
