The Hobart 00-913102-00371 Drive Gear Kit converts the rotary movement of the motor to other parts of the mixer to allow the shift system to operate properly. It has a series of interlocking links that are meant to interlock in order to transmit power. The kit is mounted to the drive assembly within the blender and is placed in a position to fit into the main drive shaft and other mechanical components so that it can fit into the existing drivetrain to enable it to work.
