The Hoshizaki 4A1107-20 Motor Starter Relay is an essential part used to regulate the flow of electric motors. It also serves as a protective system for the motor from the effects of overload, short circuits and other electrical malfunctions. This relay uses the method of electromagnetic induction. If the motor is energized then the relay coil is subjected to electrical current. This current develops a magnetic field that causes a movable armature to attract toward the current-producing station. The movement of the armature also opens or closes the main contacts so that current can flow to the motor. The relay coil gets an abnormal current during an overload or fault situation.
