The Toastmaster K1DS27 Spring converts mechanical energy when a force is applied to it and releases the energy when it returns to its initial shape to allow connected components to move, or to be returned to position. As the attached part moves, the coils of the spring stretch or compress and then push it back in the opposite direction in motion. It is fitted in the specified connection point, a compatible operator tension or return action is needed between moving parts. The size and shape of the spring are specific to the assembly needs to ensure that it fits in the mechanism.
