The Cleveland KE52754 is a hex nut that is manufactured for use with a kettle. Hex nuts, in general, are round nuts that are six-sided with a threaded hole in the center. They are secured by turning a bolt or screw of the same thread size through the hole and over the nut and using a wrench on the flats. In the case of kettles, this hex nut (KE52754) may be used to fasten a 2-inch valve body onto a 2-inch draw-off valve. This forms a close knit that does not allow for any seepage and proper functioning of the valve system.
