The Magikitch'N MK3 Cast Iron Bottom Grate 4" X 19-15/16" 17-Cross Bars 4-Ribs offers a stable platform on which to cook on commercial appliances. It works by holding the cookware above the burner but letting the heat spread evenly across the cast-iron bars. The grate is placed right over the burner assembly and it is placed so that it fits with the cooktop frame to ensure that there is correct spacing and stability. It transfers heat from the flame and supports the pots or pans during cooking.
