The Pitco PTPP10409 O-Ring operates by pushing two mating surfaces in order to form a closed seal to prevent the escape of fluids or gases when it is in operation. Its curved shape enables the consistent pressure of contact between the parts as they are assembled, which accommodates motion and temperature variation of the system. This is fitted in specific grooves of coordinating installations, often at pump connections, valve connections or housing joints where a circular seal component is required to keep internal passages apart, with the remainder of the parts.
