The Component Hardware Group R50-2850SPO Cam Lift Hinge is actuated by an internal cam system that causes the door to rise a bit during the opening cycle to clear the floor obstructions or thick gaskets. When closing, the gravitational force on the cam provides a self-closing mechanism to give a tight, consistent seal to the frame. This is feasible to operate in a regular commercial setting. The stainless steel construction provides the structural support that is required by the large panels without using internal spring tension to move.
