The Scotsman A39790-001 Ice Machine Water Sensor Assembly is an electrical part that consists of two metallic probes that are used to complete an operational circuit when liquid is at a certain level in the reservoir. This mechanism is based on conductivity and sends a signal to the control board to control the filling cycle and start the freezing process when the correct volume is reached. The component is placed within the water trough or sump space which is fixed by a mounting bracket towards the top of the tank.
