The Southbend 9-3213 Unimax Door Switch works through a series of electrical contacts that are completed or broken depending on the physical location of the door of the appliance. When the gate is closed, it triggers the internal connection mechanism to inform the operator board that it is to start steaming cycles. This is a part that is fitted directly in the entrance frame assembly of compatible commercial heating units. This is an interlock, and this prevents the working of the high-temperature steam operation when the cabinet is open.
