The Alto-Shaam SW-34769 Rocker Switch 125-277V 20A works by closing and opening the circuit by a simple rocking action to enable the flow of power to be switched on or off to the component connected. It controls the electrical current by moving its internal contacts every time it is toggled allowing it to be used to provide uniform on/off operation of equipment. The switch is fitted on the control panel or front interface of the appliance where the operators are provided with primary power and operate controls.
