The Rankin Delux RD100-05 Griddle Gas Solenoid Valve 120V 50/60Hz is an electromechanical gate that controls the flow of fuel to be directed to the burner assembly. When the thermostat requests the heating system to turn on, an electric current is supplied through the internal coil to generate a magnetic field, which pulls the plunger open and lets the fuel pass through the orifice. This is fitted in the manifold piping system that is situated behind the front operator screen of the commercial cooking surface. The unit is powered by standard 120V alternating current.
