The Southbend 1174264 Swivel Caster W/Brake 5" is equipped with the ability to roll on a swivel race as the wheel turns on its axle. When the foot presses the brake, the wheel is stopped and the swivel is restricted. It is attached to the bottom of carts, racks and frames of other commercial kitchen equipment that are compatible. The wheel allows controlled movement on typical floor surfaces and allows the change of direction in narrow places. The steel yoke and integrated brake assembly is a small unit that is made to be used in routine service conditions.
