The Star Mfg Z11912 Hairpin 0.090 x 1-3/8 slides and fits properly by passing through the aligned holes in the materials being fastened together, keeping them in place by its tension in a spring-like design. Its angled shape is narrow, which enables the hairpin to bend a little when it is inserted and then refold into shape when it is in place. It is normally mounted in mechanical systems and car parts, and lies flat on the surface while keeping the parts of the system in place.
