The Groen 10-512S50 Steam Safety Relief Valve is a pressure-control part that releases steam when pressure inside a steam system rises above the valve's set point. It is allowing excess pressure to escape through the unit, while the 1/2" NPT threaded connection provides a protected outlet. Its internal spring mechanism closes the valve after pressure returns to normal, and the chrome finish covers the exterior surface of the valve body. This part is installed on compatible commercial systems and other steam-operated foodservice equipment, where the fitting connects directly to the steam system for controlled pressure release during operation.
