The White Rodgers 101934/N32/MOD A Thermopile 36" is a system that produces a small amount of electrical current when in the presence of a flame that is then utilized to turn on or turn off gas flow in heating systems. It works by transforming the heat energy into a millivolt signal which interacts with the gas valve enabling the system to work. This thermopile is installed in the burner assembly of a furnace or water heater so that it can be in contact with the pilot flame, which is necessary to ensure that the control system.
