The Frymaster 810-1873 Fryer Thermopile 36" senses heat of the pilot flame of the burner and uses it to create an electrical signal that opens the gas valve enabling the burner to work properly. It is a safety system, that keeps the fryer in the right ignition patterns. The thermopile is fitted to be installed in the commercial deep fryers where the flame is directly sensed, with the control system as a consistent input and fits easily into the internal structure of the fryer. This positioning is necessary in order to respond to changes in temperature correctly.
