The Southbend 1177545 Hot Surface Ignitor 24V is an alternative part that is installed in commercial cooking systems to start burners or heating coils. It performs with 24 volts and, when energized, heats up, allowing it to be used to start gas or fuel in the combustion chamber of the appliance. It is installed in the burner assembly and it is used in conjunction with the control system to ensure uniform start-up operation, as well as to ensure that there is correct flame initiation.
