The Garland 1309201 Piezo Ignition Spark Lighter With Palnut 23" and Wire has a piezoelectric part that produces a high-voltage spark when the actuator is pressed to produce a jump-across spark at the tip to ignite gas at the burner. The starter has a wire that runs to the location where the flame is required, and a palnut is provided to hold the assembly together. It fits on compatible Garland gas gear, with the light tip being placed close to the firebox such that when it's turned on, ignition is created inside the combustion chamber.
