The Garland 1812401 Electric Grill Linear Actuator is an electrical to mechanical force converter. To rotate a lead screw at 3300 RPM and rotation moves or pulls a piston rod, and this allows lifting and lowering of heavy cooking platens or grill parts automatically. This is a unique hardware component that is mounted in the internal drive system of commercial electric grills, usually at the back of the lifting mechanism, to control the vertical motion. The unit consumes 1.5A of current to ensure that it operates in a steady stream of operational cycles during different cooking sequences of high volume.
