The Waring/Qualheim 18390 V-Ring is a seal that is placed around a rotating shaft by fitting tightly around it and pressing against the surface of the shaft to prevent the escape of fluid or air at the joint. When assembled, it fits in its own groove and is in contact with other components, where a dynamic seal is required around the moving shaft. When in place, it assists in holding fluids in place but still allowing the shaft to rotate normally.
