The Delfield 3237516 Concealed Hinge with Extended Pin is installed between the cabinet frame and the door to enable the gate to pivot without the hardware of the hinge being visible. The long pin provides it the required length and positioning in the entrance assembly. This is a lock that fits into compatible foodservice units at the edge of the opening and is placed in the joint between the cabinet and the panel. It serves as the mechanical linkage that allow the window to be opened and closed in a controlled manner.
