The Delfield 3516173 Refrigerator Evaporator Fan Guard 6-3/8" DIA is a safety and airflow product that is applicable in compatible commercial refrigeration units. The circular guard encloses the evaporator fan blade to prevent internal parts and staff members from contacting each other but allows air to flow across the evaporator coils in the usual cooling regimes. It is mounted on the evaporator assembly within the refrigerated compartment and is mounted around the fan housing and is spaced appropriately. In the actual foodservice practice, it is applied in reach-in coolers and walk-in units to assist in safe operation.
