The Wells 5N23312 HEPA/Carbon filter Pack Assembly M series has a multi-stage capture mechanism in which the high-efficiency particulate air layer captures the airborne contaminants and the activated component adsorbs the odours and chemical vapours. Air is then introduced into the thick pleated media to catch microscopic particles and then passes through the charcoal-infused area to be filtered in the gas phase. This assists in providing a direct barrier to the pollutants, keeping the desired airflow course within the equipment housing.
