The Wells 65180 Convection Oven Hi-Limit Snap Disc Thermostat monitors excessive heat around the associated heating circuit and changes electrical continuity at the designated level. A temperature-sensitive disc remains in its normal contact state until rising heat causes the internal mechanism to snap into the alternate position. That transition interrupts the connected electrical path, removing the heating requirement. The M4200/OC-1 identifies the related equipment configuration. Once the sensing area cools sufficiently, the disc returns toward its reset condition, restoring continuity through the control circuit.
