The Star Mfg 2T-45180 Snap Disc Thermostat interrupts an electrical heating circuit when the sensed temperature reaches the specified high-limit condition. A snap-disc element responds to rising heat by changing its contact state, breaking continuity through the connected circuit. After conditions return toward the reset range, the mechanism restores its previous electrical state. M4200/OC-1 identifies the specified equipment configuration associated with the thermostat. The terminal connections transfer the switching change into the surrounding wiring, linking temperature sensing with automatic protection of the heating circuit.
