The Insinger D2-241 Bronze Vacuum Breaker operates by preventing backflow, in the water supply system through an internal mechanism that admits air when negative pressure conditions occur. This action interrupts reverse water movement and supports maintaining separation between the potable water source and the equipment plumbing system.
