The Stero P551134 Dishwasher Heater Element generates thermal output from electrical resistance within the connected water circuit. The 2000-watt rating establishes, the power level and 115 volts specifies the electrical input required by the assembly. Current entering through the terminal connections passes across the resistive section and raises its temperature. The heat moves from the energized surface into the surrounding water. Positioned within the heating section, the assembly raises water temperature before the equipment proceeds through its washing and rinsing sequence.
