The Star Mfg G3624329 Electric Griddle Knob Assembly works by mounting on a D-shaped stem of the valve to provide it a physical interface with which to adjust manual equipment. As the user turns the dial, the internal grouping will contact the manifold stem to add or remove the flow of gas or electricity to the heating elements. This element is mounted on the front control panel of the component, above the thermostat or burner valve stem. The outside has high-contrast temperature identification markings, and the heat-resistant plastic construction protects the gripping surface against internal operating temperatures.
