The Uniworld UVS-9140 Shredder Disc -1/4 is a replacement part of a commercial food processor to shred food into uniformly sized food tissue at 1/4" thickness. It works by latching onto the drive spindle of the processor and rotating with the addition of ingredients being fed against the disc so that its cutting edges can slice through the part continuously. The use of this disc is common in restaurant kitchen, catering commercial and institutional foodservice facilities where there is need to shred high quantities of vegetables.
