The Hobart 80016 Thermostatic Steam Trap 1/2-inch MPT is used in commercial foodservice equipment. Its operation is to work automatically in eliminating condensate and air from lines while at the same time preventing the removal of heat, which in turn maintains effective heat transfer throughout the system. It is placed in the distribution assembly so that the stability of the operating condition will be maintained and the efficiency of the equipment will be enhanced.
