The Market Forge 97-5992 Gas Broiler Relay manages switching between designated electrical terminals within the heating control circuit. A 120V coil energizes the internal magnetic mechanism, shifting contact sets from one connection position to another. The double-pole double-throw arrangement incorporates two poles, with each pole alternating between two terminal paths. Separate wiring routes therefore receive either continuity or isolation according to the energized state. When coil voltage is removed, the magnetic field collapses and the contacts return toward the idle position, leaving connected circuitry in the corresponding electrical state.
