The Pitco PT60070701 Pasta Cooker Hi-Limit Thermostat works by sensing high temperatures in the tank. When limit is reached it cuts off the power supply to the heating element. The operation of this thermostat is based on thermal expansion in the sensing bulb. It has a reset button that needs to be pressed manually after the control circuit cuts off the heating operation. It is to be mounted on any of the compatible units with the sensing bulb inside the tank and the body fixed to the external control assembly for complete temperature safety control.
