The Sporlan Y1001-1/4-SC Copper Expansion Valve supplies refrigerant to the evaporator using temperature data from the sensing bulb linked to the valve. The bulb senses the conditions at the evaporator outlet and adjusts the valve mechanism accordingly to the demand for refrigerant. This valve is installed in the refrigerant circuit in front of the evaporator part. It is used to balance refrigerant flow in commercial cooling and refrigeration equipment and has a 1/4" inlet connection, a 3/8" outlet connection and a 0.5" x 3" bulb assembly.
