The Wells 58656 Safety Thermostat senses the temperature of the heating system and electrically powers down at the upper limit to control the circuit as intended. It is provided as a Type LCHJ unit with a temperature control of 440F. It reacts automatically when the operating temperature reaches beyond that level. This part is mounted close to the heating unit in commercial cooking equipment where it fits primarily as a high-limit temperature control. Often used in the installation of equipment and its regular maintenance.
